If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting Eureka Springs Arkansas, look no further than the Crescent Hotel & Spa. Since we were only in town for one day, we didn't have time to book a night...but, man, what a place (and very welcoming to non-booking explorers like ourselves). Originally built in 1886, the Crescent has a lively history. First a fancy resort, then a young women's college, a junior college, a few more changes of hands, and finally a more recent hotel renovation in 1997. The musical instruments in the lobby were almost enough for me to visit! Some truly historic pieces that I've only read about in history books! Needless to say, we'll be staying here next time around. An amazing history, great views, cool rooms, a truly 'Grand Budapest' hotel right here in the Ozarks!
~Paul, Amber, Mom ETC P.S. They say the place is haunted...

Just found your blog, looking for sailboat live aboard stories. I used to go to Eureka Springs often - love the funky little town! Now live south of PDX.
