New Wood in the V-berth

So here's the thing. Take care of your boats people. I've had to, with the help of a friend (thanks Keith!), almost completely replace the planks in  Kingsley's V-berth because of a tiny little obvious leak coming from the bow rail. You see how the rail fits into the holder? Well it's not sealed. Inside of that rail are the wires from the lights on the front of Kingsley. The wires go into the boat and back to the panel. So, probably for the past 10 years (with the past owner) rainwater has trickled in that space, following the wire, down into the V-berth.

So here's what you get. Rotted wood. Rotted wood that's not even supposed to rot.

The leftover rot on both sides of our V-berth...that's our water tank by the way

So, it was off to the wood shop!
