After surviving Cow Hollow, it was nice to slow things down a bit. With a new tire put on in a nearby town, we cruised down past Salt Lake, over to Park City UT for lunch (Unfortunately I didn't try the burger bomb challenge - see below). We eventually landed at a really nice camping spot - the Mount Timpanogos campground. The campground is just past the Sundance Ski Area (Sundance, like the film festival!) and is fairly close to some really great sights. We drove up the alpine scenic loop (highway 92) over the mountains and stopped by the Timpanogos Cave National Monument. From there we went down & out of the mountains to check out nearby Utah Lake (pics below)…a very strange, shallow, and beautiful lake. A peaceful night around the campfire and we called it a day!
Have a great weekend, we'll be back next week with posts every weekday. From where? The red sandy arches, sands, and cliffs of Moab Utah! ~Paul & Amber ETC
